Dana Levin is the author of three books of poetry, all from Copper Canyon Press: Sky Burial (2011), which was noted for 2011 year-end honors by The New Yorker , San Francisco Chronicle , Library Journal , and Coldfront ; Wedding Day (2005); and In the Surgical Theatre (1999), which won the 1999 American Poetry Review/Honickman First Book Prize. She has received many awards, including the 2004 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, the 2005 Whiting Writers’ Award for poetry, and a 2007 Guggenheim Fellowship in Poetry. Matthew Zapruder is the author of three collections of poetry, most recently Come On All You Ghosts (Copper Canyon Press, 2010), a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. He is the recipient of a John Simon Memorial Guggenheim Fellowship, a William Carlos Williams Award, a May Sarton Prize from the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, and a Lannan Literary Fellowship. Zapruder works as an editor for Wave Books, and is a member of the core faculty of University of California, Riverside–Palm Desert Center’s MFA program in creative writing. Photo by Chris Hardy
